NAM Legislative Conference

The NAM Legislative Conference is held annually in early December and covers topics related to activity at the state and national level, including FOIA, public notice laws, libel, privacy, and more.

 

The 2023 meeting is scheduled to be held Dec. 3-5 at The Madison Hotel in Washington, D.C.

10:15 a.m. — Journalism & Philanthropy: The New Landscape. Speaker: Tom Rosenstiel, UM Merrill College of Journalism

1:30 p.m. — Alphabet Soup: Updates from NMA, NNA & America's Newspapers

3:15 p.m. — Getting Real About the Future of Public Notice. Panel discussion led by Richard Karpel, PNRC, featuring Laurie Hieb, Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association, and Jerry Raehal, Louisiana Press Association

6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. — Reception at Twin Oaks Estate, hosted by Taiwan, the Republic of China. RSVP required.
