NAM Annual Conference

We are pleased to announce the NAM Annual Conference is on for a live, in-person event this summer at The Edgewater in Madison, WI, a beautiful hotel situated on the banks of lovely Lake Mendota. Of course, the event will be held in accordance with all health and safety protocols mandated at that time by local ordinance or state order.

Beth Bennett, executive director of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association, is chairing this year's conference, which will bring together executives from state, provincial, and national trade groups representing newspaper media.

Tuesday, Aug. 3

7:30 am — Meeting in hotel lobby for golf outing

5:30 pm — Opening reception

7:00 pm — Dinner on your own (suggestions will be available)

Wednesday, Aug. 4

9:30 am — NAM Board Meeting

11:30 am — One System Group luncheon

1:15 pm — Welcome and opening remarks

1:30 pm — "Open Microphone Introductions: Group therapy—What's New?"

2:45 pm — Break

3:00 pm — "Alphabet Soup: Updates from NNA, NMA, America’s Newspapers and The Relevance Project"

6:00 pm — Reception at Hotel

7:00 pm — Dine Around Madison (sign up sheet will be forwarded prior to meeting)


Thursday, Aug. 5

5:00 pm — Shuttle departs for off-site event

5:30 pm — Farm-to-Table dinner and Bourbon Tasting at J. Henry & Sons

Shuttle will return to hotel by 10:00 pm.

10:00 am — "Philanthropic Journalism"

11:00 am — "Flash Session: Open Mic"

12:30 pm — NAM Business Luncheon (Open to managers)

6 pm — Reception and closing banquet: (Pandemic Safe) Loving Cup Ceremony and Resolutions
